The modified Mayer's haematoxylin is a progressive cell nucleus staining solution and is suitable as a counterstain for immunoperoxidase and special staining procedures. Overstaining of tissue sections is difficult with this product, yet clear cell nucleus staining is achieved.
- Acid rinsing not necessary
- No mucin staining
- Recommended for staining when less intensity is desired
